Magical Routes
The "Magical Routes" are those who will take us to discover and enjoy the most surprising and beautiful tourist attractions that the regions of Apurimac, Cusco, Madre de Dios, Puno, Arequipa, Moquegua, Tacna, Ica, Ayacucho and Huancavelica have to offer. HOW ARE WE ORGANIZED DESTINATIONS WE INVITE YOU TO LET LOOSE YOURSELF IN THESE ROUTES AND DISCOVER A TRUE MAGICAL WORLD!
The local population together with private organizations and the public sector, have created the Destination Management and Marketing Offices - DMO (OGD in Spanish) on each region of South Peru, which, working coordinately, are striving to develop an articulate chain of quality services that will contribute, through tourism, to improve the standard of living of low income communities.
Through awareness and training of all actors involved, including local communities, we are looking to develop new tourist destinations, improve the existent ones, and promote them in local and international markets.
We hope that, through all of these actions, we will achieve our goal, strong and independent OGD offices, working for the establishment of Southern Peru as a major destination, diversifying the existing offer while developing new ones and at the same time, improving the standard of living of all involved.
The "Magical Routes" already offer a vast array of established destinations, be in traditional or adventure tourism, mystic or rural, nature or gastronomy, these are not the only ones that "Magical Routes" have to offer. In these incredible areas we can find a lot more, from wetlands to ancient high altitude forests, ideal for bird watching; from geysers to valleys full of volcanoes; from pre-Inca cultures to amazing living ones; from majestic snowed peaks to the depths of the Amazon rain forest, passing through medicinal thermal waters, beach circuits, sea lions islands, free commerce zones, old steam trains and more, much more.
Due to this vast array of attractions we have decided to separate them in five categories: History, Living Cultures, Nature, Adventure and Gastronomy, which go hand in hand.
